What data we collect

We only collect the data needed for the purposes described below:

• Contact form: name, email, phone, subject, message and the language of your enquiry.
• Newsletter: email address and confirmation status (we use double opt-in).
• Technical data: IP address (for security and sending limits), device and browser type, and pages visited. Analytics data is only collected if you accept analytics cookies.

How we use your data

To answer enquiries and manage bookings: this is necessary to handle your request and provide the service.

To send the newsletter: only if you subscribed and confirmed your email. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.

To measure and improve the site: we use aggregated analytics only with your consent.

We do not make automated decisions or build profiles about individuals.

How long we keep data

Contact messages: up to 2 years from the last interaction.

Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

Analytics: up to 14 months.

Technical and security logs: up to 12 months.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers that may process data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare: website hosting and security.
• Resend: sending contact and newsletter emails.
• Google Analytics and PostHog: usage measurement, only with consent.
• Google Maps: embedded map on the location page. When you interact with the map, Google may set its own cookies.
• Cloudbeds: booking engine. When you open it, Cloudbeds' policies apply.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to remember your language and your consent choice. These are required for the site to work.

With your acceptance we use analytics cookies (for example _ga, _ga_* and ph_*_posthog) to understand how the site is used. If you reject them, Google Analytics and PostHog are not loaded.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookies” link in the footer. You can also delete cookies from your browser.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, updating or deletion of your data, object to processing and withdraw your consent by emailing reservas@saltograndehotel.com. We will respond within the legal timeframes.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may file a complaint with Uruguay's Personal Data Protection Regulatory and Control Unit (URCDP).

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with its revision date.
